Gerace Municipality

Gerace is a small village rich in history, located in a rural district, and included in the guarded area of the National Park of Aspromonte. The village has a great history, environment and many remarkable monuments, so it is, each year, the destination of numerous tourists and visitors. The village has a considerable experience in taking care of its territory, culture and rural richness. The municipality of Gerace has the objective of to promote the local development of his territory. The village of Gerace has such a great heritage in culture to be considered the most important historical centre in Calabria. The village is rich in art and historical monuments of considerable importance, like a Romanesque - Norman cathedral dating back to the 11th c. which is the largest church in Southern Italy. Once, in the village there were 100 churches and 20 convents and it was considered a very relevant religious point to which people could refer. Now in the village there are about 20 churches and 8 convents, all of them can be visited and of particular architectural interest are two Byzantine churches dating back to the 9th c., a convent - church in gothic style dating back to the 14th c. in whose Interior stands a valuable baroque altar, several churches dating back to the 17th - 18th c. For this reason one of the main priorities in the Council administrative activities is to preserve and maintain its cultural heritage. The village have a population around 3.000 unity, but the more part of the population (60%) is elderly, because the youth people don’t like to live in a small centre located in rural district. The municipality of Gerace is working to promote an cultural and tourist development.

Barcelos PortugalIt is the most important institution in the city of Barcelos. It is responsible for the good of the community and the happiness of its citizens. It is an organization whose function is to manage the city in various areas such as education, sports, culture, tourism, property management, social work, etc. The municipality works in the areas of education, sports, culture, tourism, property management and social work have been important for the various participants in some countries, because they have realized their training in organizations that are managed by the city of Barcelos. This organization has many participants interning demonstrating by experience of its staff accompany trainees. The Municipality has also received several participants for some visits and to conduct small ceremonies for the delivery of a recall of Barcelos.

Municipality of Kistelek

kistelekKistelek Microregion can be found in Csongrád County, Southern Great Plain (Alföld) region, and at a distance of 20 kms from Szeged. It can be reached from E75 international road, recently built M5 highway and railroad. The central location of Kistelek makes it for the centre of the microregional association. There are no distances in our microregion; a number of natural and cultural Alföld beauties can be experienced. The lovers of natural beauties can range at tussocky marsh fields, szik “puszta”-s (typical Hungarian field), unique lakesides with wide bird world. The generation to generation inheritable ancient methods of folk crafts are saved here, in our region. Area of work: culture, local development , education, employment, human rights, health, sustainable development, migration policies, including undocumented people.

Narva City Government

narvaNarva City Government is a Municipality. Narva, besides being the third largest city in Estonia, is also a strategic place on the border between the EU, Estonia and Russia. The Department for Development and Economy is responsible for development of Narva including development of strategies and programmes for City development, entrepreneurship development including tourism, international cooperation and project development and realization. The top priorities are: to work constantly on improving the image of the city, to support business, entrepreneurship and investors in the creation of new jobs. Talking of long-term strategic goals, it is vital to increase focus on city planning. The monitoring of the balanced development of the city districts should be a continuous process, with the objective of making the city more attractive.

Heraklion Municipality

Heraklion is the capital of Crete and one of the Mediterranean region's most fascinating and vibrant cities.  
The Chandax of the Arabs and Byzantines, the Candia of the Venetians, was one of the island's major ports and markets, and at times one of the most economically active towns in the wider region.
Heraklion is the fourth largest city in Greece.
According to the results of the 2011 census, the municipality's population is 173,993 people and it extends over an area of 684.3 km2 (264.2 sq mi).
Historical places to visit are the Palace of Knossos, the Archaeological Museum, the Historical Museum and the Natural History Museum.
In the heart of the city you can see Byzantine monuments standing next to Venetian buildings, whereas in the villages one can admire numerous abandoned monasteries and ancient churches.
The Minoan palace is the main site of interest at Knossos, an important city in antiquity, which was inhabited continuously from the Neolithic period until the 5th c. AD. 
The visitor also can admire a number of finds that come from different periods of time, and different parts of Crete, in the various rooms of the Archaeological Museum, where treasures of the Palace of Knossos hold an important place.
The Historical Museum with its various collections offers to the visitor a trip through time from the first centuries A.D. until nowadays, with emphasis on the dramatic history of the city of Heraklion and the Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC) demonstrates with an impressive manner the natural environment of eastern Mediterranean area with special emphasis on Greece and Crete.

The main goal of the Municipality of Heraklion is to attract international interest and to turn this region into a centre of creation and development.
For that reason, the municipal authority is building communication channels with other European cities and at the same time, participates in activities concerning education, city planning, economy, politics, foreign affairs etc. Heraklion has been selected as one of the Smart21 Communities of 2012, 2013 and 2014 by the Intelligent Community Forum and has been awarded European distinction and the second European Prize in the Dosta!-Congress Prize as recognition of the excellent efforts and its municipal program for the implementation of its social services pertaining to social inclusion and anti-discrimination.
The Municipality of Heraklion is a member of the “Eurotowns”, Eurocities”, “Balkan cities”, “Local Urban Development (LUDEN)” networks and of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC).
These networks promote the exchange of information and good practices between the participants, facilitating the organization of joint events, the implementation of joint projects and the conduct of mutual research.

Provincial Government of Teruel

teruelProvincial Government of Teruel (PGT) is the main actor responsible for carrying out the policy of development in the territory it represents: the province of Teruel is an area of 14.809 km2 composed by 236 municipalities. It is a low density rural territory- 9,8 inhabitants/km2- and has a high environmental and landscape value that has been notably preserved. PGT elaborates and implements policies for the sustainable management and development of the territory and has previously supported and is supporting now programmes against depopulation, programmes for the preservation of the environment and landscape and for economic development as well; PGT has a large experience as LEAD PARTNER in European projects, most of them being focused on retaining population and attracting new one to the territory, on the development of entrepreneurship initiatives in the province on the apart of different target groups and on development initiatives related to the preservation of nature.
